Card building in Reign of Dragons is actually so relevant to create powerful cards and decks that it deserves a separate article. You will use both Evolve and Enhancement to upgrade cards to the best version possible, but since there are so many possible strategies to build such cards, it can get too costly in terms of Dorries and take a pretty long time to create the perfect card.
Before you start building up your cards, know the following tips;
- Building a card that has the best possible stats is so time consuming and takes so many hundreds of thousands of Dorries that is not worth the effort doing it.
- The more cards you use to Evolve a card the better.
- Enhancing Cards during the Evolution process ends up with a better card.
- Enhancement used at the beginning of the Evolution process actually gives a weaker card
- Enhancement used at the end of the Evolution process gives a better card
What we mean by perfect cards is when you fully enhanced each card involved in the upgrade process and use the maximum number of card in the evolve combination, which is 8 (Evolving a card is actually the cheapest part of card building.)
What X-Y Means when talking about cards.
If you happen to chat with another Reign of Dragons player and he uses the X-Y number combination when referring to some card, it’s basically telling you the building strategy used for that card;
the X has to do with the Evolve process and gives the amount of cards used for it. The Y represents the cards that were fully enhanced and took part of the Evolve process.
In a Few Words.
The best strategy is to use 6 cards during the the Evolution process. After that, you will end up with 2 Card+, and combine those with one base card each one and you will get 2 Card++, which will finally yield the Card+++. As you can see, despite using 6 base cards, you actually consume a total of 11 cards
Remember, the closer you are to the final card stage, the more convenient is to fully enhance it. That is why is suggested to only fully enhance the the two Card++, since they will carry most of the enhancing stats forward.
Regarding Bonuses and Perfect Cards.
Some players have reported to end up with cards that exceed the expected Attack and Defense points for a perfectly built card, using the 8-15 technique. This can only be explained if the game applies a bonus for creating the ultimate card. The problem is most other players who took a couple of weeks to create such cards end up with the calculated attack and defense points, but no bonus added. What we are trying to say is that the supposed bonus could be perfectly random.
